Beer Braised Sausage and Peppers 🌭
Browned sausages simmered in beer with sweet peppers and onions, a tailgate favorite you can pile on rolls or rice.
Ingredients (serves 4)
- 1 1/2 lbs sausage
- 2 bell peppers
- 2 onions
- 4 cloves garlic
- 1 cup beer
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 4 rolls bread

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and brown the sausages on all sides, about 6 minutes. Set aside.

Cook the sliced bell peppers and onions in the same skillet for 6 minutes until softened and starting to brown.

Stir in the garlic and oregano for 1 minute, then pour in the beer and whisk in the Dijon.

Return the sausages, cover, and simmer on low 12 minutes until cooked through, about 160°F.
