Ham and Cheese Melt 🥪
Crispy bread with melting Swiss cheese and smoky ham, pressed hot until the cheese oozes, a Parisian lunch that stays gold.
Ingredients (serves 2)
- 4 slices bread
- 4 slices ham
- 4 slices swiss cheese
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tsp dijon mustard
- salt
- black pepper

Spread mustard thinly on two slices of bread. Layer two slices of ham and two slices of Swiss cheese on each.

Top with remaining bread slices. Butter the outside of the sandwich generously on both sides.

Heat a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, place sandwich in skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes until bread is golden brown and cheese begins to melt.

Carefully flip sandwich and cook the other side for 2-3 minutes until golden and cheese is fully melted.

Remove from skillet and let cool for 1 minute. Cut diagonally and serve hot.
