Mushroom Swiss Burgers 🍔
Beef patties smothered in buttery sauteed mushrooms and melty Swiss, the steakhouse burger you can make on a Tuesday.
Ingredients (serves 4)
- 1.5 lbs ground beef
- 8 oz mushrooms
- 4 slices Swiss cheese
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 tsp Worcestershire
- 4 hamburger buns
- 2 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper

Slice the mushrooms and mince the garlic. Melt the butter in a 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat and cook the mushrooms until golden, about 7 minutes.

Stir the garlic and Worcestershire into the mushrooms, cook 1 minute, then transfer to a bowl.

Shape the beef into 4 dimpled patties and season with salt and pepper. Cook in the same skillet over medium-high, 4 minutes per side for medium.

Top each patty with Swiss cheese, cover the skillet, and let the cheese melt for 1 minute.
