Ingredients (serves 4)

  • 1.5 lbs steak
  • 12 corn tortillas
  • 1 onion
  • 1/2 cup cilantro
  • 2 limes
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

    Pat the steak dry and season all over with cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper.

    Heat olive oil in a cast iron skillet over high heat until smoking, then sear the steak 3 to 4 minutes per side for medium-rare, 130°F.
