Garlic Butter Steamed Clams 🥣
Briny littlenecks popped open in a garlicky butter and wine broth you will want to drink.
Ingredients (serves 4)
- 4 lb clams
- 5 tbsp butter
- 5 cloves garlic
- 0.75 cup white wine
- 1 lemon
- 0.25 cup parsley
- 0.25 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1 baguette

Scrub the clams and soak in cold salted water 15 minutes to purge any grit, then drain.

Melt the butter in a wide pot over medium heat and cook the sliced garlic and red pepper flakes 1 minute until fragrant.

Pour in the wine and bring to a hard simmer.

Add the clams, cover, and steam 6 to 8 minutes until they open, discarding any that do not.
