Beef Tips and Gravy 🍖
Fork-tender beef tips smothered in rich onion gravy, the kind of dinner that begs for mashed potatoes.
Ingredients (serves 4)
- 1.5 lbs stew beef
- 1 onion
- 2 cups beef stock
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper

Pat the beef dry, season with salt and pepper, and toss with the flour to coat.

Melt the butter in a large Dutch oven over medium high heat and brown the beef in two batches, about 3 minutes per batch. Set aside.

Slice the onion and cook it in the same pot until soft and golden, about 5 minutes, then stir in the minced garlic for 30 seconds.

Pour in the beef stock and Worcestershire, scraping up the browned bits, then return the beef with the thyme.
