Cuban Sandwich 🥪
Roast pork, ham, Swiss, pickles, and mustard pressed hot and crackly, the Miami classic worth firing up a skillet for.
Ingredients (serves 4)
- 1 lb pork tenderloin
- 8 oz deli ham
- 8 slices Swiss cheese
- 1 baguette
- 1/2 cup pickles
- 3 tbsp mustard
- 3 tbsp butter
- 3 cloves garlic
- 1 lime
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp salt

Heat the oven to 400°F. Rub the pork with minced garlic, cumin, salt, and the juice of the lime.

Roast the pork on a sheet pan for 20 to 25 minutes until it reaches 145°F. Rest 10 minutes, then slice thin.

Split the baguette into 4 rolls. Spread mustard on both cut sides.

Layer each roll with Swiss, ham, sliced pork, pickles, and more Swiss, then close.

Butter the outsides and press in a hot skillet over medium heat with a heavy pan on top, 3 to 4 minutes per side, until flat, crisp, and melted through.
