Ingredients (serves 6)

  • 1 lb ziti
  • 1 lb sausage
  • 24 oz marinara sauce
  • 1 cup ricotta
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan
  • 1 onion
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes

    Heat oven to 400°F and boil ziti in salted water 2 minutes shy of al dente, about 8 minutes, then drain.

    Brown crumbled sausage with diced onion in olive oil in a large skillet, about 6 minutes, then stir in minced garlic and red pepper flakes.
