Ingredients (serves 4)

  • 1.5 lbs ground lamb
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cucumber
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1/2 cup feta
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 1 tomato
  • 1 red onion
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

    Grate the cucumber, squeeze out the water, and stir into the yogurt with 1 minced garlic clove and a pinch of salt. Chill.

    Mix the lamb with the remaining garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper. Shape into 4 dimpled patties.

    Heat a 12-inch skillet or grill pan over medium-high. Cook the patties 4 to 5 minutes on the first side.

    Flip and cook 4 minutes more until browned and cooked to 160°F.

    Rest the patties 3 minutes while you slice the tomato and onion and toast the buns.

    Spread the cucumber sauce on the buns, add the patties, and top with tomato, onion, and crumbled feta.
